WRONG ATTITUDES

ACTS 20:32:
"NOW I AM PUTTING YOU IN THE CARE OF GOD AND THE MESSAGE ABOUT HIS GRACE. IT IS ABLE TO GIVE YOU STRENGTH, AND IT WILL GIVE YOU THE BLESSINGS GOD HAS FOR ALL HIS HOLY PEOPLE."

This is the way to succeed, by being careful to receive from God what He has in the way of care for you. Paul put them in His care, and gave the message of Jesus Christ to them... To be successful, is to have this attitude.

If Jesus said it, I believe it!

2 TIMOTHY

2 TIMOTHY CHAPTERS 1-4:

Author: Paul
Date: A.D. 66/67
Theme: The Commitment to Ministry
Key Words: Fight, Charge, and Instruct

The Background Information on 2 Timothy is as follows;

As far as we can determine, Paul was released from the Roman imprisonment shortly after the writing of Acts and he went on his mission travels and went to Spain. During Nero's time he persecuted the Christians and placed Paul once again in prison. His arrest was probably in Troas (4:13), and he was taken then to Roman. The second imprisonment was different from the first where he had bought his own dwellings and was able to have visiors. This time he is in a dungeon where friends could see him, but with great difficulty. He looked forward to death this time and wrote in (4:6-8), about it. Luke was with Paul at this writings (4:11), the others had left for various reasons.

The Occasion for the Letter was as follows;

The letter was occasioned by Paul's deep concern for Timothy's needs as a minister of the Gospel and the protection of it, and the responiblies. Paul's need as well was to charge Timothy, and to incourage his stand, knowing that he wanted him to come to him but knew he might not get to him before his death. He ask Timothy to give himself wholeheartedly to his task. As for Paul, he needed certain personal effects (4:13) and in his loneliness desired to see Timothy and Mark (4:9-11). There is little question that Paul wrote this letter shorly before his death. Therefore, since he was probably executed before Nero's death in A.D. 68, the letter may be dated around 66/67.

Paul's purpose and personal applying of this letter was to show his affectionate appeal to Timothy to come to him (4:9,11,13,21). However, Paul's main concern was the welfare of the church, and he gave Timothy instructions for perfecting its organization and safeguarding the gospel. With the realization that his death was imminent, and that Timothy might not reach him in time for a final visit, Paul wrote solemn words of admonition. His preoccupation was with the gospel of Jesus Christ and expressing this to Timothy and the young coworkers of his, that they to would faithfully transmith the gospel after the warrior's death. The letter urges Timothy to be faithful in the face of hardships, desertions, and error.

We want to meditate on these facts; First, Paul had paid the price of knowledge of Jesus Christ and he stated in other writings that he carried them in his body. He was writing to Timothy and Mark and the younger men and women who were walking and standing in a mannor of faith and order. He expressed in his letters always a need for more Timothy's that would devote themselves to the gospel in a worthy manner.
for the most part he didn't in the ususalterse and to the point way, but with a tender, warm and affectionate spirit. This letter in 2 Timothy showed to be a personal note containing the apostle's last will and testament.

I would like to add at this time that all of us with Paul and Timothy read the letter with a contrite heart, already circumsized by Christ, made flesh, and humbled by Truth, to serve the Lord with Gladness, and with a fresh oil anointing at hand.

Wandering Prophets

PROVERBS 21:16:
"A MAN WHO WANDERS FROM THE WAY OF UNDERSTANDING WILL REST IN THE ASSEMBLY OF THE DEAD."

When we sing praises with understanding about what we know that God Is and Does on our behalf, we have joined the living in heaven in agreement. In Psalms 48:1-11; It is a song that was sung by the sons of Korah giving praises to the Glory of God shown in Zion. Mount Zion was Jerusalem and her sister was Judah which means praise. Prophecy has spoken of the fear of kings that passed Her, it would touble them so that they ran away, it would grip them as birth pangs do a woman giving birth.

In Psalms it states in verse 8 of 48; "AS WE HAVE HEARD, SO WE HAVE SEEN IN THE CITY OF THE LORD OF HOSTS, IN THE CITY OF OUR GOD: GOD WILL ESTABLISH IT FOREVER."

I believe this is just the season for Israel to think on the lovingkindness of His for Her, and in His praises give His Name Honor. That is what will take place, the Honor of His Prophetic Word to Jerusalem and all of Judah, and the Mount of Zion and the daughters of Judah will be happy and glad of His Name being Decreed there....

I believe God is saying I will judge My Word to them....
